Dell Embedded Box PCs improve IPC manufacturing
Dell has entered the industrial PC (IPC) market with their Embedded Box PCs, aiming to address problems with quality, lead times, and cost in the IPC market by leveraging their resources as a tier 1 vendor to improve quality control and optimize configure-to-order systems.
These network edge computing devices are designed to MIL-STD-810G, are fanless, support 24/7 use, and are backed by a limited 5-year warranty. They also come with a preloaded OS, with optional software to help speed time to market. A variety of Intel microprocessor and wired or wireless I/O options are available. Dell can handle both high- and low-volume orders and can deliver a fully configured IPC in just a few weeks.
